In 1998, Foreign Translations’ Founder and CEO Ken Zwerdling had an idea to leave his corporate career in accounting and finance to start his own company with his wife and partner Tamar Paltrow Zwerdling. The idea was to start a foreign language translation services company and target the largest corporations in the world. So, out of a spare bedroom in their house in South Florida, Ken and Tamar formed Foreign Translations, Inc. For the first few years they focused on Italian translation which is Tamar’s specialty. Fast forward to January 2013 and Foreign Translations will celebrate its 15 year anniversary.
Today the Company provides translation services (translation, interpreting, website localization, multilingual desktop publishing and international search engine optimization) in all languages of the world. It has thousands of translators located in over 30 countries and services more than 300 clients in industries such as engineering, law, medical, marketing, technology, finance and government.
In addition the company’s new division, Foreign Staffing, Inc. (www.foreignstaffing.com) is celebrating its first anniversary.
